Onion Pakoda With Mint Recipe

Mint Flavoured Onion Pakoda Recipe

Pakoda is a very quick snack which I make quite frequently. Once I tasted store bought pakoda with added mint leaves. It tasted great as I like mint flavor very much. So tried this new version of onion pakoda with mint flavor. I could smell a very nice aroma of mint while frying this pakoda. Very irresistible snack.

Onion Pakoda Recipe

Onion Pakoda With Mint Recipe
Preparation Time : 10 Minutes
Cooking Time : 20 Minutes
Serves : 3

Ingredients

Besan / Gram Flour 1 Cup
Rice Flour 2 Tablespoons
Mint Leaves 1/2 Cup (Chopped)
Onion 1 No
Asafoetida A Pinch
Chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Oil For Frying + 2 Teaspoons
Curry Leaves A Sprig

Preparation Method
In a bowl add besan, rice flour, asfoetida, chilli powder, salt and mix well. Meanwhile chop mint leaves and slit onions length wise and keep it ready.

Add curry leaves, onion, mint leaves and mix well.

Add 2 teaspoons of hot oil and mix well.

Sprinkle water little by little and mix well. Heat a pan with oil. Once it is hot, just sprinkle the pakoda mixture in to the oil. Fry them till it turns into golden brown colour. Drain the oil and transfer it to a plate. Allow it to cool down completely and then trasnfer it to airtight container.
