Paneer Samosa Recipe

I had few stock of homemade paneer. Was looking for some interesting tea time snack recipe with paneer, and I came across this baked paneer samosa. I was tempted to try this. I quickly grabbed all the required ingredients and the hot hot baked samosa was ready to eat in just 40 minutes. It turned out so crispy and moreover tasted great and am happy that this recipe doesn’t go through deep frying. This baked samosas can be served with tomato ketchup.

Preparation Time : 15 Minutes
Cooking Time : 40 Minutes
Yields : 6 Nos

Ingredients

Crushed Paneer 1/2 Cup
Capsicum 1 No
Onion 1 No
Green Chillies 1 No
Ginger A Small Piece (Chopped)
Cumin Seeds 1/4 Teaspoon
Chilli Powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Garam Masala 1/4 Teaspoon
Amchoor Powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Coriander Leaves 1/2 Tablespoon (Chopped)
Oil 1/2 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste


For Dough

Wheat Flour 3/4 Cup
Salt To Taste
Oil 1/2 Teaspoon

Preparation Method

Knead wheat flour to a smooth dough by adding salt and required water. Finally sprinkle oil and knead it again. Allow the dough to rest for 15 – 30 Minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and once it is hot, add jeera. After it splutters add green chillies and ginger and saute for few seconds. Add onion and saute till it turns into light golden brown colour.Baked Paneer Samosa Recipe Step 2

Add capsicum and saute well for a minute.Add chilli powder, Amchoor powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Add chopped coriander and mix it again

Add the crumbled paneer. If you have paneer cubes, crumble them in a mixer by a quick run. Cook till all the water evaporates and transfer them to the bowl and allow it to cool down.

Split the dough into equal sized balls and keep it ready.Roll the dough into thin round rotis and cut them into halves.

Make a cone shape in one of the halves and place little panner stuffing inside it and seal them by pressing the ends gently.

Repeat the process for all the remaining dough and keep the samosas ready. Now transfer the samosa into a greased tray and  bake the samosa in the preheated oven at 180 degree celicus for 20 – 25 minutes. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or chutney.
