Oats Porridge Recipe| Healthy Oats Recipe

Very frequently, I used to prepare a sweet version of Oats porridge by adding milk and sugar for my husband. But I am not a great fan of this sweet version. So I will prepare something else for myself, whenever I cook porridge. My mom asked me to try porridge by adding yoghurt and tempering it. It will be done in less than 10 minutes. Just 1 cup of this porridge will make me very filling and healthy too.


Ingredients
Oats 1/4 Cup
Yoghurt 2 Tablespoons
Mustard 1/2 Teaspoon
Dry red Chillies 1 No
Curry Leaves A Strig
Asafoetida A Pinch
Oil 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste

 

Preparation Method
  • Boil 1 cup of water and add oats to it and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Take yoghurt in a bowl and salt, water. Mix it well.

  • Heat a pan and add oil. Once it is hot, add mustard. After it splutters, split the red chillies and add to it.

  • Add asafoetida, curry leaves and then turn off the flame.
  • Add the cooked oats to the yoghurt mix.

  • Add the tempered items to this and stir well.
  • Let it remain for 10 minutes before serving.
