Rava Kichidi Recipe | Breakfast Recipes

Rava Kichidi Recipe

Rava Kichidi is my husband’s favorite. Though I am not a great fan of upma/ Kichidi, I used to make it quite frequently for my husband. Adding vegetables to the kichidi makes it even more delicious. Coconut chutney serves as a best combo for this recipe. If I don’t have coconut in stock, the next easy one would be onion tomato chutney. So far I had a thought that both upma and kichidi are the same. But realised they both are different when I spoke with one of my friends. But my mom used to prepare only upma that too very very rare as I wont like it.

Notes

Add the semolina only when the water is boiling well. Simultaneously stir it so that there is no lumps formation.

Instead of ghee, you can add just oil for this preparation.

You can also add green peas to this Kichidi. If you add fresh one, make sure it is boiled well before adding it.
