one-two-three-four Cake Recipe | Sweet Recipes

I got to know about this recipe just couple of days back when I was talking with my mother in law. This recipe got its name based on the proportion of its main ingredients. Its very simple and easy to remember sweet recipe. It was tasting very delicious and just melts in the mouth!!

Ghee 1 Cup
Grated Coconut 2 Cups
Sugar 3 Cups
Milk 4 Cups
Cashew (Optional) 10 Nos


Preparation Method
  • Grind the coconut by adding milk (use from the 4 cups of milk measured for this recipe. Do not use excess milk).
  • Add cashews to the coconut and ground to a fine paste and keep it ready.

  • In a thick bottomed pan add ghee and then add the ground paste.

  • Also add the sugar and milk.
  • Mix well and bring it to boil.

  • Keep stirring so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • After few minutes, the consistency becomes thicker. As it becomes thicker stir it continuously.

  • Once it reaches to a consistency where it doesnot sticks to the walls of the pan, turn off the flame and spread the mixture on a tray / plate greased with little ghee.
  • Level it uniformly using a flat laddle and allow it to cool down for 30 minutes.
  • Then cut them into pieces of desired shape using a knife and serve.
