
Here is the recipe for yummy, crispy and soft mysore Bondas. Perfect for tea time snack.
Ingredients
Urad Dhal | 1 Cup |
Green Chillies | 1 No |
Rice Flour | 2 Tablespoons |
Whole Pepper | 1 Tablespoon |
Curry Leaves | A Strig |
Asafoetida | A Pinch |
Coconut | 2 Tablespoons (Thinly sliced) |
Cilantro / Corinader leaves | A Fistful (Chopped) |
Salt | To Taste |
Oil | For Frying |

Preparation Method
- Wash and soak Urad dhal in water for 1 hour.
- Then drain the water and grind it to a fine paste by adding 1 green chilly. Do not add more water while grinding.
- Transfer the ground mixture to a bowl and add curry leaves, asafoetida, pepper, rice flour, salt, coconut pieces and mix well.
- Finally add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.



- Heat oil in a tawa. Once it is hot, wet your palm with water and take a little batter and shape it like a ball and slowly drop in the oil.
- Repeat the same and drop the ball shaped batter one after the other.
- Fry till all the sides turns to nice golden brown colour.
- Transfer the bondas to a plate spreaded with paper towel.
