Eggless Vegetarian Pancake Recipe | Besan Pancake

Here is a quick and filling vegetarian omelette recipe. I prepared this for tea time snack last evening. We both liked it very much. It takes not more than 15 minutes to prepare this recipe.

Besan Flour / Gram Flour 1 Cup
Milk 2 Tablespoons
Turmeric Powder A Pinch
Onion 1 No (Finely chopped)
Green Chillies 2 Nos (Finely Chopped)
Curry Leaves A Strig (Chopped)
Cilantro / Coriander leaves A Fistful (Chopped)
Fennel Seeds 1 Teaspoon
Ginger 1 Teaspoon (Finely chopped)
Garlic 1 Teaspoon (Finely Chopped)
Salt To Taste
Oil 1 Tablespoon


Preparation Method
  • In a bowl mix besan flour, Turmeric powder and salt together.
  • Add milk and required water mix well without lumps. Make sure the consistency is slightly thinner than dosa batter consistency.
  • Beat the mixture well using a whisk till a nice froth appears.

  • Add all the ingredients one by one and mix well.

  • Heat a dosa tawa and add few drop of oil.
  • Pour the mixture and spread them gently. Keep the flame in medium.

  • Pour little oil around the corners.
  • Wait till one side gets cooked. Slowly turn the omelette to the other side and allow it to get cooked.
  • Transfer it to the plate and serve.
