Cashew sweets are the favourite for many of us. I always had a thought that it is not easy to try it out home. But when I came across this recipe in one of the cooking show, I realized it is not tough like what I thought. Moreover the number of ingredients required are very minimal for such a yummy sweet. It hardly took 20 minutes for me to complete this. As I am trying it for the first time I tried it with minimal quantity.
Ingredients
Cashew | 1 Cup (Finely Powdered) |
Sugar | 1/2 Cup |
Water | 1/4 Cup |
Ghee | For Greasing |

Preparation Method
- Grind the cashew to a very fine powder. Make sure the mixer jar is dried completely before grinding.
- In a pan add water and sugar and bring it to boil. Keep stirring for few minutes till you get the right consistency. You can check the consistency of sugar syrup by dropping a drop of sugar syrup in a small bowl of water. Sugar syrup should not get dissolved immediately and it should lay a fine string.
- At this stage, reduce the flame and add the powdered cashew and keep mixing continuously for 3 minutes.

- When the mixture becomes thick and non sticky, turn off the flame.
- Keep stirring the mixture and knead to form a smooth dough.

- Grease a plate or tray with ghee and place the dough on it.
- Gently roll in using a rolling pin to form a thin layer.

- Cut them with a knife diagonally to form a diamond shape pieces.
