Karandi Omelette Recipe | Egg Recipes

I came across the name of this recipe when I was browsing through the menu card of one of the restaurants. The moment I saw the name of this, I was more curious to see and taste the Karandi Omelette. Initially we just ordered for one. But after tasting it, me and my hubby liked it very much and ordered for couple of it.The ingredients are the same like the ordinary omelette.. but it will be very soft and pluffy as the omelette is prepared in a laddle that we use for tempering. I tried it for the first time and it came out very well and similar to the one which we tasted. 

Egg 2 Nos
Onion 1 No (Small) (Finely chopped)
Green Chillies 1 No
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Pepper Powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Oil 1/2 Tablespoon

Preparation Method
  • Break and pour the eggs.
  • Beat them well by adding turmeric powder and salt.

  • Add chopped green chillies, onion, pepper powder and mix them well.
  • Heat the laddle and add oil. Wait till the oil becomes hot.

  • Pour the egg mixture into the laddle and wait till it gets cooked.
  • Slowly turn it to the other side with a fork or spoon and cook the other side well.

  • Once both the sides are cooked completely, transfer it to a plate and serve hot.
