Ingredients
Preparation Method Boil Milk in a heavy bottomed vessel and keep stirring it. Let it remain till the milk reduced to 1/3 of its volume. Add Cardamom and the chopped pistachios and almonds and mix well. Add sugar and boil till the sugar gets dissolved well. Finally add the saffron and boil for 3 – 5 minutes and then turn off the flame. Allow it to cool down completely and then refrigerate for an hour or two. Then transfer it to a bowl and serve. Notes Cardamom can be replaced with a pinch of cardamom powder. Adding saffron will give a nice flavour and the colour of the sweet changes to a nice yellow colour as it gets boiled and cooled. Make sure it is completely cooled down to room temperature before keeping it inside the refrigerator. Adding condensed milk will make the desserts richer. While adding condensed milk, adjust the sugar accordingly. |
