Rasmalai

Rasmalai is a very delicious and mouthwatering bengali recipe. This sweet is usually served chilled. For this recipe, Rasgulla is the base. I have already posted my recipe for Rasgulla .


Here is the recipe for Rasmalai

Ingredients

Rasgulla 10 Nos
Milk 1/2 litre
Condensed milk (Optional) 1/4 Cup
Cardamom Powder A Pinch
Saffron Few Strands
Pistachios 10 Nos
Sugar 2 Tablespoons

Preparation Method
  • Remove the rasgulla from the sugar syrup and have it ready in a bowl.
  • Boil milk till it reduces to half of its volume, add condensed milk.

  • After 2 minutes, add sugar, pistachios (crushed / Coarsely grounded), cardamom powder, saffron and stir well.
  • Add the rasgullas to the milk and cook for 5 minutes.

  • Turn off the flame and transfer it to a bowl. Once it is cooled down, keep it in a refrigerator and serve chilled.
