Rasgulla is my most favourite sweet. But I never thought the preparation will be very easy until I came to know about this recipe. Most importantly this recipe doesnot require even a drop of oil. 
Here is the recipe.


Milk 1  Litre
Sugar 1.5 Cups
Water 4 Cups
Lemon Juice / Vinegar Few drops
All Purpose flour / Maida 1 Tablespoon


Preparation Method
  • Boil the milk well. When the milk is boiling add lemon juice/ Vinegar to it. Wait for few minutes.
  • Milk will start curdling and after few minutes, filter the milk and take the curdled milk.
  • Transfer it to a muslin cloth and drain the water completely.

  • Add a tablespoon of maida and knead the curdled milk well to make it a soft dough.
  • Make small balls of equal size and keep it ready.

  • Add sugar to water and bring it to boil.
  • When the sugar syrup is boiling well, drop the balls one by one and close the pressure cooker (with the whistle) and cook for 7 minutes in medium flame.
  • After 7 minutes, wait for the steam to escape and then open the pressure cooker and transfer it to a bowl.

  • Allow it to cool down and then place it in a refrigerator and serve it chilled.
