Ragi Puttu | Keppai Puttu


Here is a very healthy and nutritious recipe that can be prepared in just 15 minutes. Perfect for breakfast or evening snack.


Ragi Flour 1 Cup
Grated Coconut 1/4 Cup
Sugar 1/4 Cup
Ghee 1 Tablespoons
Cardamom Powder A Pinch
Salt (Optional) A Pinch


Preparation Method
  • Take ragi flour in a bowl and sprinkle some warm water and mix it together without any lumps. If you prefer you can add a pinch of salt at this stage.
  • Spread the flour on the idly plate.
  • Steam cook for 5 – 7 Minutes.

  • Once it gets cooked, the colour will become darker.
  • Transfer the cooked flour to a bowl.
  • Add grated coconut, sugar, ghee, cardamom powder and mix well.
