Quick Semiya Upma | Vermicelli Upma



Vermicelli 1 Cup
Mustard 1/4 Tablespoon
Channa Dhal 1/2 Tablespoon
Peanuts 1 Tablespoon
Green Chillies 2 Nos
Onion 1 No (Chopped)
Curry leaves A Strig
Ginger A small piece (Chopped)
Salt To Taste
Oil 1 Tablespoon

Preparation Method
  • Heat a pan and add oil. Once it is hot add mustard and wait for it to splutter.
  • Then add channa dhal, peanuts and roast them well.
  • Add curry leaves, ginger, green chillies, onion and saute them together by adding salt.

  • Add around 2 cups of water and bring it to boil.
  • When it is boiling well, add the vermicelli and mix it well.
  • Close the pan with a lid and cook in medium flame for 5 – 7 minutes with constant stirring after every couple of minutes.

  • Once all the water has been evaporated and the vermicelli is cooked well, turn off the flame and transfer it to a plate for serving.
