Quick Coconut Chutney


Very quick and easy chutney that can be served with idly, pongal and Dosa


Coconut 1/2 Cup (Chopped)
Green chillies 3 Nos
Roasted Gram 2 Tablespoons
Curry Leaves A Strig
Mustard 1/4 Tablespoon
Asafoetida A Pinch
Salt To Taste
Oil 1/4 Tablespoon

Preparation Method
  • Grind coconut, green chillies and salt to a coarse mixture.
  • Add roasted gram and little water and ground to a fine paste.
  • Transfer it to the bowl, if required add water to the required consistency.

  • Heat a small pan, add oil. Once it is hot, add mustard and wait for it to splutters.
  • Add curry leaves, asafoetida and transfer it to the bowl containing ground chutney.
