Kara Kadalai is a spicy snack perfect during teatime. This recipe is very quick to make. I would love to much this Kara kadalai while watching TV. Peanut snacks was the most frequent snack I had during my childhood days. I love the masala Peanuts as well which can be served as a snack and also as side dish for curd rice. Adding fresh curry leaves during frying adds good flavour to the peanuts. I prefer to make this quick recipe when there is no snacks at home.

Serves    : 2

Peanuts 1/2 Cup
Curry Leaves A Strig
Chilli Powder 1/4 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
Oil For Frying

Preparation Method

Heat oil in a pan. When it is hot, add the peanuts and roast them well.

Just before the peanuts is roasted fully, add curry leaves and transfer the roasted peanuts to a plate after draining excess oil.

Add chilli powder, salt and mix them well. Spicy peanuts is ready to serve.

Peanuts get fried faster. So make sure it doesn’t get burnt.

Chilli Powder can be adjusted according to your taste.

Chilli Powder can also be replaced with pepper powder if preferred.

Let the roasted peanuts remain for 10 – 15 minutes before serving so that it becomes crispy.
