Bread Pakora is very simple snack that can be prepared in 10 minutes. It can be served with any chutney/ Sauce of your choice.


Bread 3 Slices
Gram Flour / Besan 1/4 Cup
Rice Flour 2 Tablespoons
Green Chillies 2 Nos
Cumin Seeds 1/4 Tablespoon
Cilantro / Coriander leaves A Fistful
Asafoetida A Pinch
Salt To Taste
Oil For Frying


Preparation Method
  • Cut the four sides of the bread and cut them into equal size pieces in the shape of your choice.
  • If the bread is very soft, it is better to toast them on the pan for couple of minutes.

  • In a bowl, add besan, rice flour, cumin seeds, asafoetida and salt. Mix everything together by adding water little by little to make a batter without any lumps.

  • Add chopped chillies and coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Take a toasted bread piece and dip in the batter and drop into the hot oil and fry them in batches.
  • Fry the pakoras till both the sides are cooked well and turns to light brown colour.
