Babycorn Varuval

A quick recipe with Babycorn.


Babycorn 200 Grams
Chilli Powder 1/4 Tablespoon
Coriander Powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Pepper Powder 1/4 Tablespoon
Turmeric Powder A Pinch
Salt To Taste
Oil 1 – 2 Tablespoons


Preparation Method
  • Cut the babycorns  into two lengthwise.
  • Boil the water and add the babycorns to the boiling water and let it boil for 3 – 5 minutes.

  • Then take the babycorn and drain the water.
  • In a plate, mix chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt together.
  • Add babycorn to this masala and mix well so that it gets coated on the babycorn.
  • Marinate it for 10 – 15 minutes.

  • Heat a tawa and add oil. Once it is hot, add the marianted babycorn to it and fry them till it turns to nice golden brown colour.
  • Transfer it to a plate and serve.
