Sweetcorn Sundal Recipe | Sweetcorn Recipes

So far I have made sweetcorn just by adding butter, pepper powder or chilli powder and salt. For a change, I wanted to try this recipe by tempering it and adding grated carrot and coconut at the end. The outcome was good Smile


Ingredients

Sweetcorn 1 Cup
Grated Carrot 3 Tablespoons
Grated Coconut 2 Tablespoons
Onion 1 No (Finely Chopped)
Green Chillies 2 Nos (Chopped)
Curry leaves A Strig
Mustard 1/4 Tablespoon
Asafoetida A Pinch
Salt To Taste
Oil 1/2 Tablespoon

Preparation Method
  • Cook the sweetcorn and drain the excess water and have it ready.
  • Heat a pan and add oil. When it is hot, add mustard. Once it splutters, add curry leaves, green chillies, onion and asafoetida.
  • Add the cooked sweetcorn and mix it together and cook for 3 minutes by adding required salt.

  • Turn off the flame and add the grated coconut and carrot and mix well and serve.
