simple Mirchi Bhajji | Milagai Bhajji

Mirchi Bhajji is my all time favourite tea time snack. This is a very simple version of it without any stuffing.

Besan/Gram flour 1 Cup
Chilli powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Asafoetida A Pinch
Salt To Taste
Oil For Frying
Mirchi 2 Nos

Preparation Method
  • Wash the Mirchi and cut them into two and slit them lengthwise.
  • In a bowl mix besan, asafoetida, chilli powder, salt and mix with water to a little thick consistency.
  • Take a piece of mirchi and dip it into the mixture so that the mirchi is coated well with bhajji mix.

  • Heat a pan and add oil enough for frying.
  • When it is hot, drop the coated mirchi slowly into the oil.
  • Fry them till it is golden brown and transfer to a plate for serving.
