Semiya Payasam 2

Semiya Payasam is a default sweet in all south Indian wedding. It is a very yummy desert. I like to have it with papad.

Semiya/Vermicelli 1 Cup
Milk 2 Cups
Condensed Milk 4 Tablespoons
Sugar 3/4 Cup
Cashew 10 Nos
Raisins 10 Nos
Ghee 2 Tablespoons

Preparation Method
  1. Heat a pan and add ghee. Once it is hot, add the cashew and raisins. Fry them and keep it aside.
  2. In the left over ghee add the vermicelli/Semiya and roast them till they change into light brown colour.
  3. Boil Milk and add vermicelli to it and allow it to get cooked.
  4. Then add condensed milk and keep stirring.
  5. When it comes to boil, add the sugar and stir well till it gets dissolved continuously.
  6. After 3 minutes add the roasted cashew and raisins to the boiling payasam and turn off the flame.
