Rava Appam | Sooji Appam

This is one another recipe I came across through a TV show. I have never heard about a recipe that has stuffing made up of sooji/rava. When I saw this, I was more interested to try it out and see how it tastes. Though it looks like usual roti, the taste is very much different and yummy.

All Purpose flour / Maida 1 Cup
Sooji/Rava/Semolina 1/4 Cup
Grated Coconut 1/4 Cup
Sugar 1/4 Cup
Milk 1/2 Cup
Cashew 4 Nos
Almonds 4 Nos

Preparation Method
  • Dry roast the rava/ sooji/semolina slightly.
  • Also grind cashew and almond to a coarse powder and have it ready.
  • Measure 1 cup of Maida and knead it to a consistency similar to that of roti and let it remain for 30 minutes.
