Fish Fingers - South Indian Style | Fish Starter Recipes

Fish fingers is one of the default starters that we use to have whenever we go to a restaurant. I want to try it with adding up some spices. I just shallow fried the fish fingers.


Here is how I made it..

Ingredients

Fish 2 Fillets
Ginger garlic paste 1/4 Tablespoon
Turmeric Powder A Pinch
Chilli Powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Coriander Powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Pepper Powder 1/4 Tablespoon
Garam Masala Powder A Pinch
Lemon 1/2 No
Besan / Gram Flour 2 Tablespoons
Plain Bread Crumbs 1/4 Cup
Salt To Taste
Oil For frying

Preparation Method
  • Wash the fish and cut them into equal sized slices lengthwise.
  • Mix turmeric, chilli, coriander, pepper ,garam masala powder and salt together.
  • Add lemon juice to the fish fingers and mix it with ginger garlic paste.

  • And the masala mixture to the fish and coat it well.
  • Marinate the fish for atleast 30 minutes.

  • Take Besan and mix bread crumbs to it.
  • Pat the marinated fish with the bread crumbs mixture and coat all sides of the fish with bread crumbs.

  • Heat a tawa and add a tablespoon of oil.
  • Once it is hot, add the fish fingers one by one.

  • Fry the fishes till all the sides turns to nice golden brown colour.
  • Transfer to a plate and serve.
