Carrot Kheer


Carrot Kheer is very simple and delicious dessert. It can be served hot or cold. Either way it tastes good.


Carrot 1 Cup (Grated)
Milk 2 Cups
Sugar 1/2 Cup
Cashew 5 Nos
Raisins 5 Nos
Cardamom Powder A Pinch
Saffron Few Strands
Ghee 2 Tablespoons


Preparation Method
  • Heat a pan and add ghee. Then add cashew, Raisins and fry them till they turn into light brown colour.
  • Transfer them to a plate. In the same pan add the grated coconut and fry them well till the raw smell goes off.

  • Boil milk and add the fried carrot to the boiling milk and cook for few minutes by stirring it now and then.
  • Add few strands of saffron soaked in warm milk.

  • Add sugar, cardamom powder and mix well and cook for 3 – 5 minutes.
  • Finally add the roasted cashews and raisins and transfer to the serving bowl.
