Bitterguord Pirattal | Pagarkai Pirattal

Bitterguord fry

Bitterguord is my favorite. I love to have it with dhal rice and curd rice. I tried it little different this time and the taste was superb.


Bitterguord 1 No (Cut into thin slices)
Tamarind juice 1 Tablespoon
Turmeric Powder A Pinch
Chilli Powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Coriander powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
Oil 2 Tablespoons

Preparation Method
  1. wash the bitterguord and cut into thin slices. Boil the cut pieces in water for 3 minutes.
  2. Drain the water and keep it aside.
  3. In a plate add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and tamarind juice and mix well.
  4. Add the boiled Bitterguord slices to the masala and mix well. Let it remian for 15 minutes.
  5. In a pan add oil. once it is hot, add the bitterguord one by one and shallow fry them by turning it on both the sides.
  6. Transfer it to the bowl for serving.
