Beetroot Halwa


Beetroot halwa is a very colorful and delicious sweet.


Beetroot 1 Cup (Grated)
Milk 1 Cup
Sugar 1/2 Cup
Ghee 2 Tablespoons
Cashew 10 Nos

Preparation Method
  • Heat a pan and add a tablespoon of ghee. Fry the cashews till it turns lightly brown colour and transfer it to a plate.
  • In the remaining ghee, fry the grated beetroot till the raw smell goes off. The colour of the beetroot will become little pale.

  • Then add milk and bring it to boil.

  • Cook till all the milk evaporates and add sugar. Keep stirring continuously.
  • Keep adding ghee little by little.

  • In few minutes, it will reach halwa consistency and it will not stick to the sides and bottom of the pan.
  • At that stage add the friend cashews and transfer it to bowl for serving.
