Badam Kheer | Almond Kheer


Badam Kheer is very delicious dessert. I love to have it chilled rather than hot.


Badam/Almonds 1 Cup
Milk 2 Cups
Sugar 1/4 Cup
Saffron few strands


Preparation Method
  • Soak the almonds in hot water for around 30 minutes.
  • Remove the skin and keep it aside.

  • Add little milk and grind the almonds to a fine paste.
  • In a thick bottomed vessel, boil milk for around 3 – 5 minutes.

  • When the milk is boiling well, add the ground paste to the milk.
  • Stir well and cook for 5 – 7 minutes.

  • Meanwhile soak the saffron in luke warm milk and add the same to the boiling mixture.

  • Add sugar and keep stirring continuously for 3 – 5 minutes.

  • Finally trasnfer to a bowl, keep it in a refrigerator for around 1 hour before serving.
