Puli Milagai

It is a very simple and quick recipe. Goes well with rice, especially curd rice.

Ingredients
Green Chillies 6 Nos (Cut into Pieces)
Shallot Onions 5 – 7 Nos (Cut into Pieces)
Mustard 1/4 Tablespoon
Fenugreek 1/4 Tablespoon
Channa Dhal 1/2 Tablespoon
Asafoetida A Pinch
Curry Leaves A Strig
Tamarind 1 Small Lemon sized
Turmeric Powder A Pinch
Salt To Taste
Seasame Oil 2 Tablespoons

Preparation Method
  1. Heat a pan and add oil to that.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add mustard, Fenugreek, Channa Dhal and roast them well, till it turns golden brown.
  3. Add Asafoetida, Turmeric powder and curry leaves.
  4. Add chopped green chillies and fry them well till it changes its colour.
  5. Add Shallot onions and fry them well for 2 – 3 minutes.
  6. Then add the tamarind juice extracted from tamarind and mix well.
  7. Add salt and bring it to boil.
  8. Let it boil for 3 – 5 minutes and then turn off the flame.
