Masala Idly

Fried idly
There are few left over Idly from that day’s breakfast. I thought of preparing a quick dish with that and ended up with this. It came out really well and we had it with onion raitha.

Idly 6 Nos (Cut into equal size pieces)
Mustard 1/4 Tablespoon
Cumin seeds 1/2 Tablespoon
Onion 1 No (Finely Chopped)
Tomato 2 Nos (Finely Chopped)
Turmeric Powder A Pinch
Chilli Powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Coriander leaves/Cilantro Little for garnishing
Salt To Taste
Oil 2 Tablespoons

Preparation Method
  1. Heat a pan and add oil to it. Let it become hot,
  2. Add Mustard, cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  3. Add onion and saute them well for 2 – 3 minutes.
  4. Add tomato and cook them for 5 minutes. Let it blend well with onion.
  5. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and mix them well.
  6. Finally add the idly pieces and mix them and leave it for 3 minutes.
  7. Add finely chopped coriander leaves and transfer it to serving bowl.
  8. Serve it with onion raitha or gravy of your choice.
