Potato Chips Recipe |Crisps Recipe

Potato Chips is one of the best crisps available across the globe. I have seen too many types of potato chips with different seasonings. But haven’t tried many so far. I had a bag of potatoes in stock and wanted to use it somehow at the earliest. So tried different recipes with potatoes as main ingredient. Simple potato chips recipe is one among those. Apart from having this chips as a snack, I would love to have it with sambar rice, curd rice and Rasam Rice. It also be a good combo for variety rices like Lemon rice, Coconut Rice, Tomato Rice.

Potato Chips Recipe
Preparation Time : 20 Minutes
Cooking Time      : 15 Minutes
Serves  : 3

Ingredients

Potato 4 Nos (Medium Sized)
Salt To Taste
Oil For deep frying
Chilli Powder 1/4 Teaspoon

Preparation Method

  Peel off the potato skin using a peeler and slice the potato using potato slicer.

  Add the potato slices into chilled water and leave it for 30 minutes.

Potato Chips Recipe Step 1

  Drain the water, and place the slices on muslin cloth or paper towel to absorb the moisture.

  Heat oil in a pan and drop few slices of potato slices and gently stir them.

Potato Chips Recipe Step 2

    Keep the flame in medium throughout the frying process.

  After sometime, the sound will get subsidized and the colour would have also changed.

  At this time, take off the chips and sprinkle salt  and chilli powder or spices of your choice on the chips and mix well.
