Carrot Halwa

Carrot Halwa is my hubby’s favourite sweets. This is one of the sweets which I used to make very frequently. I love to have it with a scoop of Vanilla icecream.


Carrot 1 Cup (Grated)
Sugar 1/2 Cup
Milk 3/4 Cup
Ghee 4 Tablespoons
Cardamom Powder A Pinch
Cashew 10 Nos

Preparation Method
  • Heat a pan and add a tablespoon of ghee. Fry the cashew nuts to a light brown colour.
  • Add the grated carrot and fry them till the raw smell goes off.Moreover the colour of the carrot turns little pale.

  • Now add the milk and let the carrot cook for 5 minutes. Once the mixture turns thick, add the sugar.
  • Now add the cardamom powder. Mix well. Keep Stirring by adding ghee little by little.
  • Once it reaches the halwa consistency, it will not stick to the sides and the bottom of the pan.

  • Finally add the fried cashews and trasnfer it to the serving bowl.
