Nethili Fry Recipe

Nethili fry is my most preferred starter recipes in fish. At times I would love to have it even as a snack. Any recipe (fry, Curry, Nethili Kuzhambu)  made with this fish tastes delicious. Nethili fry can be served with sambar, rasam or curd rice as well. Adding fresh curry leaves enhances the flavour of this recipe. The cleaning process of this fish is relatively easy and it gets cooked very fast. Anchovy fish fry is one of the standard item in my food order whenever we go to an Indian Restaurant Smile

Here is my way of preparation….

Nethili Fish Fry - Step 2

Heat a pan and add oil. Once the oil gets heated, add the fishes one by one by spreading across the pan. Turn it to the other side and once it changes to golden brown color, transfer them to the plate and serve.

Nethili Fish Fry - Step 3

Adding a pinch of turmeric powder while washing the fish will give good results.

Shallow frying the fish consumes less oil and tastes good.

Pepper powder can also be added to the masala, if preferred.
